I cannot move an application by using the "tap and hold" gesture, it opens that application instead. What should I do?

You may be doing it wrong. An application will not open when you tap and hold on it. Applications will only open once you tap on them. Tap and hold gesture means that you touch the application icon and put your finger on it for a few seconds. After about 1 seconds, the application can now be moved to your preferred location.

You must be doing the "tap and hold" thing the wrong way. that's why the application is opening. The proper way to do it is by touching the icon without lifting your finger until the icon becomes movable. When the icon becomes movable, don't lift your fingers yet, drag it to your desired location, then that's it, you can now lift your finger.

How to arrange widgets icons in one folder?

There are lots of widgets icon scattered around in widgets panel (total 13 panels. Need to know how to create a folder and dump in all these widgets into it. or can I remove the widgets. If remove; is that going to impact my major programs in the device.

Was this helpful? Yes | No | I need help

You can just remove the widgets that you are not using. It won't affect any major program on your device. In fact, removing those widgets will make your phone even faster and consume less battery. To remove a widget on your home screen, simply do the following.

Can I get it back? Can I open the trash bin?

Unfortunately, if you deleted a panel, you can not get it back. However, none of the Apps or Widgets are deleted, and you can restore them. Visit our tips and sections on Apps, Screens, and Widgets for more information on how to do that.

So, 7 panels is probably 'my' maximum, currently on my brand-new GS4… X-/

I remember I could add a lot more in the past, on GS2 at least…
